Established in 1853, making it one of the oldest communities in Alberta, this site offers visitors an opportunity to discover the Mission’s significant contributions to the settlement of Northern Alberta. Take a guided tour and check out our fully restored Convent built in 1894, complete with interpretive displays making the past come alive. Learn about how the Mission was the first to have a printing press, water-powered saw mill, and commercial crop of wheat in Alberta. Examine the historical buildings, antique and photo displays, heritage wheat and gardens, interpretive center, and gift shop with many hand-crafted items from local artisans.

Discover the relationships between the Oblates and the Metis that worked and lived in this area.
