Description

Beyond Victory is a motivational educational program that gives students across Canada the opportunity to meet Hall of Fame members who are working for the good of their communities and inspiring young people to develop their personalities. Going "Beyond Victory" is characterized by Hall of Fame members' contributions to humanitarian causes and community service, building on their new status as champions of the Order of Sport to convey the shared sporting values of Canadians.

This inspiring program creates a lasting educational impact by teaching young people that performance is much more than strength, speed and agility, it is above all integrity, empathy and optimism. Each presentation is directly related to the curriculum, teaching students important values such as perseverance, ethics and resilience. All students can now take advantage of this major educational initiative as we move to virtual mode.

VIRTUAL ADAPTATION

Through a virtual adaptation of the popular educational program Beyond Victory: Members of the Hall of Fame on Tour, students will be able to enjoy an exciting one-hour interactive experience with a Hall of Fame member who will tell their story in real time. But the virtual program offers several additional benefits, such as:

• Ensure a safer environment, both during and after the Covid-19 period, for this program which is in high demand;
• Enable us to deliver more submissions and increase our reach across Canada;
• Use a larger number of Hall of Fame members since they can participate in the Hall of Fame from virtually anywhere in the world.

But that's not all! We will use state-of-the-art WebRotate 360 software to create 360-degree® images of important artifacts that will enrich this synchronous learning experience. Youth will feel like they are personally interacting with unique artifacts and memorabilia relating to the Hall of Fame Member's history and, as usual, there will be plenty of time available to ask questions of the Hall of Fame Member.
