Description
The Canadian Foundation for Cross-Cultural Dialogue, the instigator of the project, aims to promote and support dialogue and reconciliation between the various components of the Canadian society.
As part of the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation and Sir Wilfrid Laurier's 175th birthday, the objectives of this project are:
- Promote Sir Wilfrid Laurier's contribution to the building of Canada;
- Identify and promote the events and accomplishments of Sir Wilfrid Laurier as Canada's first Francophone Prime Minister;
- Share a common vision of this unrecognized figure in the evolution of today's Canada;
- Encourage the interest of young Canadians in the history of the country, the characters and events that shaped it;
- Have a common experience shared by French and English high school students.
