Description
Nacel Canada HSP offers a number of short term programs in France. Most programs, such as the Homestay, Homeschooling, and Homestay with School Integration can be tailored from 2 to 8 weeks. Students may also choose to add a 3 night / 4 day Discover Paris Tour to either the beginning or end of their Summer Homestay or Homeschooling Program.
The traditional homestay program offers students the opportunity to experience the French way of life and allows them to discover the typical life of a young French teenager. Students are welcomed by their host families as if they were members of the family.
Nacel’s homestay with a French host family provides a firsthand opportunity to understand French culture and improve language communication skills. In the homeschooling program, students benefit from 15 hours of private lessons in French, during the first two weeks of their stay. Students are welcomed by host families as if they were a member of the family.
Other programs such as the 12 day-intensive language camp combine French language courses, homestay experience and a mix of activities, visits and excursions to discover Paris and its surroundings.The student has French lessons every week day morning with a tutor. The student will be part of a group of 4 or 5 students (maximum), whose French level is almost the same. For this program, students stay in residence accommodation.
The homestay and High School integration program takes place during the French school year (from early September to the end of May). In addition to the French family integration during the homestay, Nacel offers the student the chance to go to a French school with their host sister or brother or with a neighbour. Please note that they might attend different classes. At school, the participant attends all classes whatever the subjects but is exempt from doing homework and taking examinations. The aim of this program is to discover the French school system and to have social integration with French teenagers.
