Links with the curriculum

ACCENT on heritage was designed for students in an educational environment as well as to provide teachers with learning materials complementary to the social studies curriculum.

It is particularly useful to teach the perspective and experiences of francophones, particularly in the West. This subject is part of the program foundations of the Albertan program of study.

In addition, the content treats, in a detailed manner, multiple specific outcomes of the 7th grade program of study that touch on the realities that francophones of Alberta faced throughout history.
