This program will allow you to improve your French-language skills by doing activities that are tailored to the things you love to do and by meeting other francophones your age from across the country.
To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following criteria:
Note: Students who speak French as a first language but do not attend a French-language school may also apply, but further documentation or assessment may be required to ensure that they have the required level of fluency.
Three weeks during the summer.
Bursary recipients will still need to cover some of their costs. Aside from personal spending money (for snacks or souvenirs, etc.) there are two major costs that the participant has to cover: registration fees and travel expenses.
Each bursary recipient will have to pay a non-refundable registration fee to the host institution. in order to confirm his or her participation in the program. The registration fee is payable only when you confirm your participation in the program. Some institutions may have additional fees or require a refundable deposit. If so, your host institution will inform you when it sends you your registration package.
Participants also have to pay most of their travel expenses. However, if you are going to a location outside of your home province or territory, you may be eligible for an allowance at the end of the program that will cover part of the costs of travelling to and from the host institution.
Destination Clic is a summer bursary program for francophone students in Grades 8 and 9 who attend a French-as-a-first language school and live outside of Quebec. This program will allow you to improve your French-language skills by doing activities that are tailored to the things you love to do and by meeting other francophones your age from across the country. Participants in Destination Clic are awarded a $2,000 bursary (taxable income) that covers tuition fees, instructional materials, meals, and accommodation. For three weeks, you will dive deep into another part of la francophonie au Canadathrough classes, workshops, games, visits to fun local attractions, all while meeting new people and making new friends with French speakers from across the country.
