The Language Portal of Canada is a free website that provides language quizzes in English and French. It includes language-related articles, blog posts and writing tools that deal with rules of grammar, difficult points of language and tips on writing.

Description

The Language Portal of Canada is a website managed by the Translation Bureau. It includes English, French and bilingual quizzes that help students learn while having fun.

There are six main categories of quizzes: Grammar and syntax, Punctuation, Spelling, Style and writing conventions, Vocabulary and General knowledge.

Teachers and students will also find the following resources on the Portal:

Language Navigator, a search engine that helps users find answers to questions on writing and difficult points of language (grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, etc.);
TERMIUM Plus®, the Government of Canada’s terminology data bank, which contains more than five million terms and can help students enrich their vocabulary in specialized fields;
a collection of online Canadian language resources grouped under five categories:Writing resources, Glossaries and dictionaries, Indigenous languages, Language learning, and Organizations and events;
the Our Languages blog, where users can discuss language-related news, resources and events;
an ambassador program to empower teachers, parents and all language learning enthusiasts.
