Description

Kids Danse is an engaging, accessible and age-appropriate program for young people who want to learn dance in a creative way through simple choreography and dance activities! The program includes music approved by a children's panel; a fun, collaborative and inclusive approach; various dance styles; and a performance at the end of the residency or session. In addition to promoting development and physical literacy, the program can also support academic learning by affecting learning outcomes in several subjects, such as French, science, social studies and mathematics. The program is based on the Elements of Dance, refining basic locomotor patterns through learning choreography, steps and creating dances. "I absolutely loved the program ... the variety of music and dances ... The kids had the chance to learn a dance from start to finish and play too." -Grade 3 Teacher
