Links with the curriculum

  • Using song and characterization as a means of delivering curriculum (Language Arts, Social Studies, French, Drama, Communication, Music).
  • Student participation: A hands-on, kinesthetic experience for students. All students are encouraged to sing along, copy gestures, respond to questions and dance. 
  • Some students will play characters, plays percussion instruments and perform a traditionnal dance.
  • Learning in a fun and interactive way.

Description

Roger Dallaire is presenting his new show "Quest for Hudson's Bay". On the occasion od Canada's 150th anniversary, relive the experience of the Explorers and Voyageurs who discovered and settled this land. He'll bring participants with Radisson and Desgroseillers to meet the First Nations people on the waterways of Canada and back to where it all began, in the heart of the fur trade, back to Hudson's Bay.

About Roger Dallaire
Roger has been performing in schools all across Canada since 2000. Musician, storyteller, marionettist and folklorist, Roger has much to offer. Proud of his French-Canadian cultural heritage, he is passionate about sharing his "joie de vivre" in schools. Roger has performed in over a thousand schools across Canada. In 2015, Roger paddled from the Rocky Mountains to Hudson's Bay.
