6h workshop: $550

Prices include artist fees and art supplies. Workshops are based on a group of 25 students. 

The price of in classroom workshops will vary.

Description

Taught by professional artists, the workshops are offered at the community studio located in Edmonton (9103 – 95 Avenue). These workshops can be taught in your school but additional fees for the artist travelling expenses and material are applicable. The school will also have to provide a computer for the PowerPoint presentation.

- Christmas Motif (art, French, religion, science)
A wall plaque with an angel, a shepherd or a Christmas tree in relief will serve as an introduction to the basic techniques of clay work.

- Christmas Decorations (art, French, religion, science)
Students will create Christmas tree ornaments with a polymer modeling clay (fimo).

- Easter Chicks (art, French, religion, science)
Students will use styrofoam eggs, googly eyes, feathers and sparkles to create these silly chicks.

- Brush Painted Fans (art, French, social studies)
Students will explore Chinese brush painting techniques as they decorate paper fans.

- Fantasy Landscape (art, French, science)
For this theme, students will use sponges, stencils and tempera paint to create a fantasy landscape.

- Pinch Pot (art, French, science)
Students will learn how to make a wall hanging flowerpot out of clay.

- African Banners (art, French, science, social studies)
Students will use colored mud to print on cotton and they will use different objects to print a border.

- Kente Cloths (art, French, social studies, religion)
In this workshiom children will learn one aspect of the culture and traditions of Ghana.
