KINNDERGARTEN, GRADES 1-2
Students will have to identify several feelings and will have experienced them. They will be able to better recognize verbal and visual messages during a conversation. They will learn to find solutions to conflicts through mutual aid, sharing, empathy and, if necessary, the help of adults.
GRADES 3 -6
Under different interactive forms, in groups or individually, each student will have considered and found solutions that will enable him or her to make good choices in bullying situations. Students will have been invited to put themselves in the skin of a victim, a witness and a person doing the bullying. They will understand the role of adults and services within reach. A cyberbullying activity has enabled students to approach ethics to adopt, understand the weight of words (and images) and the long-term consequences.
The workshop (in both versions) can be used as deepening activity for the play “When you see red".
The workshops take place in a room the size of a class or larger. The equipment is provided by the facilitator.
Visits in Alberta are generally in October, November, March and April.
